Ward 1, Position 1
Ward 1, and how to vote in it.
Two things people ask me at the door more than anything else. Am I in Ward 1, and when do I vote. Here are both.
Am I in Ward 1?
Benton is divided into five wards. Ward 1 is the eastern side of the city, running from around the interstate out toward the east city limits, with Ward 5 above it and Ward 4 below.
Here is the city's own map. It is the yellow one.

If you look at it and you are still not sure, call me. I would rather spend two minutes on the phone than have you show up to vote in the wrong race.
The surest check is your own voter registration, which lists your ward. That link is in the next section.
When do I vote?
Election day is Tuesday, November 3, 2026. That date is fixed.
For everything else, go straight to the source. Registration deadlines, early voting dates and hours, and polling locations all get set, and occasionally changed, by the county. I am not going to be the reason somebody drives to the wrong building.
- Check or update your registration Arkansas Secretary of State Voter View. Confirms you are registered and shows your ward.
- Early voting and polling places Saline County Clerk. The authority on dates, hours, and where to go on election day.
- Arkansas voter information Secretary of State. ID requirements, absentee ballots, and statewide deadlines.
Registration in Arkansas closes about thirty days before an election, and early voting typically opens about two weeks before election day. Confirm both with the Saline County Clerk. We link rather than print those dates on purpose, so this page cannot go stale and send you somewhere wrong.
What is on your ballot
City Council, Ward 1, Position 1. My name will be on it.
